We created a couture design for their invites, which included a gold ornate perspex invitation, a textured additional card with gold foiled text and a custom monogram. The invite was placed inside a white textured envelope with a custom-made wax seal. The classic gold and white theme continued throughout their stationery designs in the four-page program fans, napkin bands, and on-the-day decor.

From the all-white floral arrangements and island garlands hanging from the ceilings to the casual reception dinner on the beach, this wedding feels like it hit the perfect combination between a destination and traditional style.

Weddings are a momentous occasion and closely associated with all things romantic, but often, the wedding invite ends up feeling slightly cliché or even corny when couples think that there is a direct design medium through which to express love. People always think love has a colour, a typeface, perhaps a tied bow and maybe a few heart icons scattered around the invite, just in case people don’t get the idea.

To me, this invite expresses love in a subtle, elegant and romantic manner so that you feel as though you’re almost part of the couples love story. The invite boasts a contemporary and elegant use of script type that is not overwhelming.

The colour palette of blush pink and grey is soft and sophisticated, which conveys the overall romantic feel of the invite; coupled with the protea illustrations, which add a natural, floral aspect to the invite. Another aspect of the invite that makes it a memorable one is the extra information card with the couples photograph on it; it matches the set perfectly in terms of expression and style but also in the similar colour and tones of the protea illustration.

To me, less is always more, and this invite showcases that principle perfectly, without the standard wedding clichés that we are so used to.

We had the pleasure of creating glamorous, ornate and gold inspired stationery for Nakedi & Matome’s exquisite affair. This stationery theme was carried right through to the couple’s wedding day, complementing the intricately planned decor and floral bouquets. The design of the stationery is understated and extremely classy; it included food cards, order of service fans, menu’s and gold perspex place names.

The invitation set we created was inspired by Nakedi & Matome’s ornate save the date and digital invitation. Shop the Nakedi & Matome inspired invitation and digital save the date here – The Midas Invitation and The Luxe Gold Save the Date.

The Midas invitation consists of a midi sized flat card digitally printed on one side with a gold damask design on luxury white paper with a gold shimmer. The set also includes a gold envelope and matching liner.

We created this beautiful  invitation suite that consists of a DL main invitation card with the couple’s names stamp foiled in copper, along with a digitally printed postcard size additional card with RSVP information. These cards are placed inside an ornate white envelope with a brown kraft paper liner – and we must say that we love the outcome!
