In celebration of the month of Movember, we have put together a swish little mood board with a masculine twist. Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate cancer. It is such a good cause that we wanted to get involved in the fun, however being a bunch of ladies lacking the tools required to grow facial hair we are raising awareness in other ways. We hope you enjoy this mood board featuring our Winter Royal invitation.

Today on our Monday Mood Board we were inspired by the magic of nature and all its beautiful tones. It whisks us away into the forest with a hint of rustic copper and a combination of natural elements such as tree twigs and leaves. A perfect palette for any forest wedding.

We love the sea tones and magical feel of this week’s mood board. It had me beach-dreaming of glittering golden sands and sparkling turquoise oceans. It was inspired by this gorgeous aqua and gold invitation that is on our E-store, and just takes us away to a mythical place. Enjoy!

Moodboard 3: Blushing Bride

This Monday’s mood board is based off the Anneke & Kelvin invite; we introduce an invite that is composed of all the finer things in life. The invite has a soft rustic feel about it, conveyed by the fine detailed gold foiled leaves, that branch over the invite, as well as the wooden laser cut tag with the couple’s wreath monogram engraved on it.

The invite suite is made using a nude shimmer paper which has a romantic and feminine feel to it. The text is digitally printed in a charcoal grey sans serif to enhance the modern look and feel of the invite. The colour palette of the invite, mainly comprised of nude, pink and gold tones not only works well for the invite suite, but offered plenty of opportunity and variety for the creation of the wedding stationery.

Mood Board Monday No. 2 – Down to Earth

It’s the start of another week and we are in full swing with our mood board Monday series. It’s almost summer time and warmer weather is slowly approaching. While we are still enjoying winter comforts, we thought it would be fitting to showcase the next mood board, titled: Down to Earth.

The stationery feature is a texture-inspired menu that we created for a styled shoot at the end of last year. It showcases a rich textured card on thick white cardstock and it is finished off with a printed leather piece that is wrapped around the card with twine.

The shoot titled “Artisan Paired” was the creative concept of Bona-Fide Creative Consultants and came together with the help of Andrea van der Spuy Photography, MYŪZU and Secret Diary.

Mood Board Monday No. 1 – Midnight

Happy Monday everyone! We have a little treat in store for your eyes as today marks the first Monday in our Mood Board Monday series. We are kicking things off with a moody mood board featuring deep inky hues, wheaty linens, and golden touches. This theme was inspired by our black french lace menu, which we designed for a photo shoot that we collaborated on with the Blank Canvas Events ladies a few years ago. Even though it’s an oldie, it is definitely still one of our favourite shoot pieces that we have done – we just can’t get enough of the gold foiling against the deep blue of the card. We hope you love it as much as we do! Enjoy!
